The "Float Boat"
Members of the Prestbury Yacht Club have the exclusive privilege of using the only gas-powered boat on Lake Prestbury. The Prestbury Yacht Club pontoon boat, affectionately known as the "float boat" by PYC members, can be used to entertain friends and family on Lake Prestbury, to do some fishing, or to take a troll around the lake at dusk.

A total "rebuild" of the deck and seating was completed in spring of 2021, giving PYC members a new feel to the boat!

Liability Release
PYC members need to complete a Liability Release annually, if they plan to use the float boat. This will need to be printed, signed, and submitted to the Fleet Captain before/with your first boat reservation of the year.

Float Boat Reservations
The float boat may be reserved by PYC members by printing, signing, and submitting the Reservation Form to the Fleet Captain. You can also call, text, or email - whatever is easiest for you! The Fleet Captain will confirm your date and coordinate the delivery of the key.

Further instructions for completing and submitting these forms are provided in each document.
Operating Rules
As necessary, the Fleet Captain will provide you operating and safety instructions. If you have questions or concerns, the Fleet Captain can assist you.

The float boat MUST be operated by an adult Yacht Club member who has signed a Liability Release that season. The boat must be operated in a safe manner relative to the speed and number of passengers. Life preservers for children are provided.
ALL CHILDREN UNDER EIGHT YEARS OF AGE MUST WEAR A LIFE PRESERVER WHEN ON THE BOAT WHETHER IT IS MOVING OR NOT.

When underway, no person is permitted to stand outside the railing of the boat.
When usage is complete, the boat must be left in a clean condition with all life preservers stowed properly away. The key then must be returned to the Fleet Captain for the next members use.

If any member fails to follow any of these rules, they may be denied future use of the float boat.
